That’s one way to get out of work!
Not really…jury duty just happens to coincide with my next string of days off…BUT…I have a plan…if I show up for the initial day of jury duty [Monday 24JUL23] wearing my 321, 861, 1861, and 3861 simultaneously, there’s a good chance I could/would be sent home due to being unfit for jury duty by reason of insanity. I think it’s worth the old college try…

You look like you’re dead lifting skateboards.
Usually jury duty is calling a number everyday and they inform you if you were selected for voir dire, if I remember correctly.
Or you could just ask really crazy questions and they will dismiss you right away.
Easy peasy.

For the record, I do not dead lift skateboards…I skate on skateboards…

Also, I already tried all that really crazy questions stuff when I had jury duty the last time when I was a Cincinnati Police Officer…maybe my questions weren’t crazy enough…I dunno.

Jury duty is good, food in Australian courts is great. Last one I done was a week of short days with great lunches. Even better I had a mate from the local fishing scene to chat with.

Best part was hearing the judge smack down all the people trying to get out of jury duty. Crushed a few snobby business guys that thought they were more important than they were. Nothing like a belittling in front of 100 people and then getting told to sit down and think about your words before you speak next time 😁

Starts This Monday.

Anyone going?

Keep an eyeball peeled for watches and report back. Expect at least one Breitling, an IWC, a Speedmaster (yours), and 68 Apple watches.

I hope @Mad Dog will do courtroom watches provided as artistic sketches.
Gnarly vid by the way.
😎 That is ALL! 😁

Oshkosh on EAA week is something to behold. I grew up in Milwaukee and went up a couple of times. A friend of mine just told me he's taking Monday off from work to take his kid to visit UW-Oshkosh (and then Marquette later in the day). I don't think he knew the fly in starts on Monday...... that's going to be interesting.....

I went to Oshkosh in 1993 so I would have been 6. We drove out with a pop-up camper from New Jersey. I don't remember much but I remember they had a Concorde there you could buy a ride on.

Hodinkee went and got some really good pictures. I really enjoyed going through this one.

A couple of highlights. Of course this Omega.

And look at the wrist cheese on this Big Red.

I am a bit late to this discussion but I can say that I have been as well. I went in 1995 and would have been 7. My family flew out from Riverside Ca in a 4 seater 1946 Stinson Voyager that my mom and dad restored, literally from the ground up, together. It was a slow flight that lasted over several days but that was all part of the fun. It was neat to stop at small airports across the country. My dad really enjoyed picking out the grass strips. My dad had a reserved spot in the Classics section and we arrived to Oshkosh a couple days early. I remember thinking it was so neat to see all of the other planes that had also arrived early as there were so many of them. We were there for the entirety of Oshkosh, and my memory is somewhat hit and miss, but one that I do remember for sure... we had front row seats along the main runway for the military display and the heat from the pyrotechnics was intense. I also really enjoy the sea plane staging area with all the planes on the water. I loved seaplanes as a kid. Heck, still do. I asked my mom if she could find any photos of us at Oshkosh, and she replied with this one. Here is a young scarecrow boat and family, standing at the prop of a midnight blue (with a cream stripe) 1946 Stinson Voyager.
