I was at the airport in Atlanta USA, and saw that the duty free shop appears to be an AD. I was surprised though by the total lack of knowledge. Also when they sell the watch, they don't adjust the bracelet. I wonder why Omega has them as AD's when the service and knowledge are nil.
I seriously doubt Omega monitors ADs on an ongoing basis to see how decent their sales staff may be. And to me an airport stand would be the last place I would expect knowledgeable people.
I wasn't expecting it either, but gee whiz, the clerk couldn't initially figure out how the clasp on a watch opened. I had to tell her "I think you need to push the buttons on the side". Based on that, I had to ask, "When a person buys a watch, do you guys adjust the bracelet?" I was curious if anyone there was trained. The answer was in effect, "no, we just sell it".
I suspect not too many buyers at an airport have the time to wait around waiting for bracelets to be shortened. Heck, the one time I bought an Omega locally from an AD I had to give them a day to fit the bracelet.
People working @Omega store in LAX are regular DFS employee. Not Omega sales rep or related to Omega.
SNA is not really an international lol. It technically is for that one flight a day from Mexico but yeah. Also about 4 miles from me, I’m also an acquaintance of the son of the guy it’s named after lol.
