Dear all Up for sale today is a lovely Doxa from the mid 1940s. This is a fun and eye catching piece, and the star here is undoubtedly the dial - faded black and gold two-tone, art deco style numerals, and the shy "10". The words "Doxa" and "Antimagnetique" are still visible under certain lighting conditions, and "Swiss Made" is clearly visible at the bottom of the dial. The case is made interesting by the faceted lugs and maintains a slim profile. The watch recently returned from a COA at my watchmaker and is running +30 seconds/day in my experience. YMMV. Highlights: - All original with the possible exception of the crystal - Unique black and gold two-tone dial - Art deco style numerals - COA More details: Year: 1946 Case: Original, almost 34mm, 40mm lug to lug, chrome plated in decent condition Dial: Original, two tone Hands: Original Crown: Original Movement: Original, Aurore-Villeret 110, manual wind, keeping time +/- 30 seconds/day in my experience Strap: Black strap in the pictures is included Pictures (borrowing couple from the previous seller): (movement pic taken before COA) I’m asking $250 USD net to me which will also include 2 day insured shipping within CONUS. Other countries at cost. Paypal, Venmo or bank wire only. Watch and I are in the US and I can ship worldwide (with some exceptions). No returns please. Plenty of references available upon request. Thanks!
That is by far the best looking ‘deco’ watch I’ve seen. Sure is tempting for a deco collector like myself
