And again I was the underbidder. Not a perfect watch but acceptable dial, nice case and very clean movement. That all depends on by how much one was the underbidder by. I once was the overbidder (or winner) by $200. I was quite glad to have won that one...
I completely agree, a maddening experience @Mark020 . BTW, I did notice a quasi similar UV on Clock Savant the other day. If UV's are your bag, I cant recommend Clocksavant enough (he's done amazing work for me): https://clocksavant.com/collections...-chronograph-reference-22278-calibre-281-1942
As I am sure you entered the auction with your maximum number lined up, you should have no regrets. The other bidder may have been able to go way higher... so feel lucky that you didn’t get sucked in a path you could have regretted later.
Agreed. EUR 3k was my max. Incl. fee EUR 3.900. Train to Paris, lunch with @Syrte ;-), service and you end up at EUR 5k
I hate when you’re the underbidder then You have my full support for the next one. PS I’m incredibly flattered to be factored into the watch budget!
Underbidder in Paris was actually my second time. Last time also on a UG. It is simply not meant to be or so
I don't want another project. I want a UG with large case, round pushers en leaf hands without having to sell a kidney
