Hi All, I am interested in this 145.022 73 (Extract confirmed) how ever it has what appears to be a DON bezel instead of a period correct DN90 bezel (MWO type B2) I haven't got MWO book to hand but I thought all DON bezels had the " ' " over the first " E " of TACHYMETRE speedmaster101 doesn't account for this combination - maybe for good reason ! http://speedmaster101.com/base500-bezel-identification/ So do you think this a legitimate DON bezel - admittedly on the wrong watch though Intersted to hear peoples opinions Thanks
No, that's not a legitimate DON. They all had the accent in Tachymetre, and furthermore the printing on bezel text is fat and not well defined. I believe this is an aftermarket bezel. The rest of the watch, from the little that I can see of it, possibly checks out for a 145.022-71 ('73 production is fine). But, the lume on the chrono-seconds hand doesn't match the others, and the hour recorder looks like it is possibly creeping, or not resetting. Combine that with an aftermarket bezel and polished case, and it's sounding like someone has mucked with this thing - and that person was apparently not an authorized Omega technician. My interest in this would be very little based on what can be seen.
