    Brown strap and black face sounds like a recipe for disaster, but somehow this seems to work.

    Black dial with brown strap is actually very classic in my view. I think it looks great.

    Seconded. Brown straps on Speedmasters often look better than black straps. It softens up the look nicely. Gives more character :)

    Its a 1944 30T2 SC PC, these were sold after the war as the "approved for RCAF use" Techron. Me thinks it was a nice way to dump surplus military production

    It came out after the war. 1947. It is a dress watch i think.
