Does this seem legit and reasonably priced?

Hi everybody, new to Omega watches here,

I'm considering this, but can't seem to find the ref. 162-90001 on Omegas page or anywhere else. It's currently priced at about 1100 EUR/1300 $/1000 £. Is this reasonable for a 18k solid gold case Geneve from 1972 with a cal. 565?

I'm grateful for any help!
First time vintage watch buyer, but hopefully not last.

To me that looks like a geneve dial in a case that comes from a Constellation. But I could be wrong.

Yeah, I've seen this case design on a Constellation but never a Geneve. I'm new to this, so it really seems like a jungle to me all these different variations in dials and cases, and so hard to tell whether the combinations are original or not.

There's no pictures of the movement either, but that seems to be the standard on the auction pages I look at.

I don’t think this watch has a Constellation case, as there is no observatory on the back. Although by the mid-1970’s, Omega’s branding became so chaotic that anything was possible.

Is there a case reference number listed in the auction page? Without that there is no way to tell it is legit unless someone has the same watch and is willing to share.

The reference number provided is 162-90001 but it doesn't give any hits and isn't it usually a "." and not a "-" that separates the digits?

This looks like some sort of “National Production” reference. Omega had gold watch cases made under license in certain countries for customs avoidance. Sometimes there are specific hallmarks that can assist in determining the country of origin.

These are very difficult to trace without pictures of the inside of the case.

Okay, thanks a lot for the help,
unfortunately the auction house doesn't provide any pictures of the inside of the watches they sell, so I think I'll pass on it for now, and find another that's easier to trace. Event though i like the champagne dial and the unusual case design 1100 EUR is a lot to throw at something you can't verify. I learned something instead and that's also worth something, right?

I cant see any gold hallmarks. I would think somewhere outside the case would be marked if is solid gold?
