Another nice Connie from the same seller IMO
I may be wrong but I think the hands are because it's a relatively early .018 25m serial

yea same seller - i have opened a dialog with him to try and work out a deal on the two watches as seems like a good way to kick start a collection if i can get them at the right price. It's just trying to ensure this one has not had any cosmetic work done

Hands look fine. Black fill matches the no lume dial and the length is correct.

Not as common as the stick hands, but I've seen them before.

    Case is a bit polished.

Thank you sir. I can live with a bit of case polish as long as the dial, hands and movement are correct.

I did think te back especially looked polished.

If it can be had at the right price I think I will have this and another one the same person is selling - one way to kickstart a vintage watch collection

When referring to over polished it's usually the bezel and lugs folks are referring to
The back is a bit shiny but the medallion is nice
They've just lost their edge on this one
    Not bad but not pristine
These 2 watches would be a great start to any collection
Use the knowledge in your negotiations for the .018

Thanks guys. I'm going to put in a combined offer for both watches but as a bench mark what would people suggest for this particular watch given the lugs issue?

UK prices tend to be higher than elsewhere
IMO £ 700 should buy you a good gold cap dome dial on the Bay
Some say gold cap watches are less desirable but that is rarely reflected in sales prices
My last SS .10 with box and papers on Ebay cost £700 - which I didn't think was cheap but prices are rising all the time
Prices at auction tend to give better value
Try doing a completed purchases search for recent sales on Ebay
This guy's watches are a little steep - this was mentioned previously

Bargain hard if you're going to buy both
What his flexibility is will be governed by his outlay
