Seems as though this will go cheap and I wouldn't worry too much about wearing it in my work environment where it could get knocked.
I'd be scared of scratching/knocking the one cicindella recommended.

that De Ville looks more casual to me. I prefer that case over the gold cap as well. I never like that gold cap, and the watch hands don't really match the design.

it's so clean looking, I just wish it had the date!

 

that one is cool. has a screw on back plate, not a solid case. the second hand is correct. comes with a nice band and buckle. Only negative, the dial has been redone. I don't like the date on my watches, so that would of been an easy win for me. But I already have one.

ulackfocus didn't seem to think the dial has been refinished as it has a mark on it. The seller claims it's original and has a pretty good reputation as far as I can ascertain.

 

maybe it is not redialed. But the letters of "Seamaster" look off to me. The t really jumps out. And I am not sure if the swiss made should read "T SWISS MADE" but I would expect it. We may be talking about two different watches, mine is a solid case, the one in the Ebay add is not.

I don't wish to be rude to anyone and I know we're talking of 40+ year old watches but if you guys with loads more experience than me can't agree I'm snookered!

 

I think there is just to many watches posted on here. You know that dial is probably okay. If you look at the center there is a chip in it. You can use this other Ebay listing I found to compare if you wish. It also might be a could offer price if you decided to go with that watch.

I don't think there has been a disagreement, just confusion about which watch was being discussed. Maybe the disagreement is about whether or not there has been a disagreement? This would be a whole lot less confusing if everyone could just agree with me.

 

There certainly will be differing opinions on originality, especially on the older watches.

BTW, I would have been fooled by a fake Constellation a few days ago.
