All depends how comfortable you feel using it... if doesn't bother you its because its not too big for your wrist
I feel the same way about the Longines Legend Diver. I love that watch so much but every time it's on my wrist those lugs just kill me.
It's a bit bigger than I'd want for myself. But no one is going to notice it more than you, so please yourself.
Yeah I would just pay attention to the overhang, literally looked like two different people's wrists in the pics. I just know for me over 50mm lug to lug is no good...
If you need any more convincing @Sidrox25, your picture reminded me of this wrist shot John Mayer took of his treasured IWC Big Pilot which he's worn for years and years: It shouldn't work, but somehow it does. So you're in good company.
Until you read his reviews and then it makes you question his judgment ....sorry not a fan of Mayer...
I'm usually the same (48 max lug to lug) but I guess sometimes the lug shape really does help the watch hug your wrists better. Looks good from the 2nd pic you posted to my eyes.
I honestly can't stand either, but his watch reviews are most annoying to me. If you read his review of the Daytona ceramic when it came out you will know what I mean.
On that pic, yes. Stand in front of a mirror and take the same shot, that may alleviate any distortion and help you decide for yourself
It is: this perspective is much more like how other people perceive your watch. It's definitely not too big. Looks perfect for a flieger, in fact.
It looks great and seems to suit you. On the opposite end of this, I have a 34mm Rolex Precision that I bought, new, 29 years ago. When I wear it, which isn't often, I'm keenly aware that it now probably looks excessively diminutive to people. But I could care less, since I've got so much history with the dang thing. Soon you'll have all kinds of history tied up in this piece and that's when it will transcend itself from an object into a possession. Whoa... someone pull me down... the air's super thin up where I'm floating!
