Hello, I've been a lurker on various watch forums for a while, but have recently developed an itch for a vintage c-shape connie. As I'm relatively new to the world of vintage omega, I thought it best to run this past the collective first. Does this Constellation 751 look correct? Thanks for the help
Case looks lovely and sharp. I'm not sure what the deal with the lume on this is though - I thought that "Swiss made" marked dials, without the "T" should be lume free and have hands that match?
From what I was told is that the T's indicate quantity of lume. Not necessarily where it would be. Dial looks like it may be one of the linen-like dials.
Sorry chaps, just thinking out loud rather than criticising - it would be very easy to switch hands and add lume at a service, to a non "t" marked one of these. You can find pictures of them with "t" and lume, and without "t" and lume... and also without "t" and without lume... thoroughly confusing! Really good piece from Desmond on these c-shaped constellations that's well worth a read if you haven't seen it: http://download787.mediafire.com/as8x1fevh3vg/nwtxwmkgyfl/C-Shape+OMega+Constellation.pdf
Idk what to believe now.... https://omegaforums.net/threads/a-real-beauty.47494/#post-565848 Side note: I am unable to add screen shots/saved images from the web to my posts while on my iPhone...
My 1973 C-case didn't have "T" either, despite being lumed. Good looking watch, but the end links looks too small for the watch.
Ooh, nice one with linen dial. Not sure if bracelet is correct to this as C Shaped Connies usually come with brick bracelets.
My 751, just back from service, has the same baton markers and hands with lume at the ends, and no "T" on the dial. Nice looking Connie.

Yep it was me Luckily I work close to a OB & a number of AD's, so will get it all checked out once it arrives. The seller seemed pretty nice and decent, accommodating all my questions and sending additional images.etc
