·I experienced this as well, and I thought it was weird too. My last job my Creative Director wore a Speedy, and I noticed one day and said (remember I'm a girl) "OMG, we're watch twins!" and started to kinda geek out about watches. He kind of glossed over and said his wife bought it for him and then told a story about how it went through the wash one time, etc..
Sadly, we never really got along, and I finally quit that job (him as my CD) three years later. Don't regret it at all. Weird how creatives can be so seemingly un-creative. :/
