    Cheap quartz movement.

Who knows who made it, most likely Chinese. Are you looking for a new movement?

If you list the subdials and location I think I could find a replacement

That's very elegant and understated. Maybe Phillip Patekowski...

Was at WDW in February-Disney sells several kinds of watches in their on-site stores. The higher end jewellery stores on Main Street were selling mainly Bulova quartz with one or two mechanicals, and several unnamed models (likely Chinese movements). These ranged from the Disney name on the dials to other character watches. Lot of kid-oriented watches, mostly plastic with characters on the dials. However, I did find one of these Mickey pieces-manual wind, remake of the original Ingersoll watch marketed in the 1930s. I think it measures 31 or 32 mm across, but these were designed as kid's watches even then. Nice job of antiquing the case, but this is no Mickey Mouse Rolex...

Phillip Patekowski, indeed. It took me a moment to twig to your spoof. Disney sold franchises to make Disney watches to whoever would ante up the fee. Mostly trash watches, but a few companies produced quality Mickey Mouse watches. This watch was not made by any actual watch company whose name most folks would recognize. Generic parts off the shelf, slapped together behind a Disney dial. Chinese or Japanese.

Even if it was, would they actually be brave enough to put their name on that particular model? ;)

You need a original one, they're much cooler, and actually, this simple movement is keeping excellent time although I had to twist a watchmakers arm to get it serviced ;)

thanks for all the replies. I ask since my friends watch has a cracked glass. I know watch is not high end but hoping to narrow down possible replacement glass.

Crystal is an easy fix. No need to know the movement unless there was heavy damage. Take it to a watchmaker. He will probably have the crystal in stock. All the Disney watches take common sizes. Easy peasy.
Of course, the crystal replacement will cost more than the watch is worth.........

Without wanting to be too harsh, I think your friend should kill that thing with fire.

again, sorting thru the sharing, I feel bit better about being able to resolve this issue one way or another.
I thank all for the insight. The movement is fine. Only issue is crystal needing attention at this point.
    No.15, that is cool unit.
    Thanks for the help.
