ive always loved vintage watches but have always gone for omega or the odd rolex. i love the monaco but cant afford the current prices and i fancied a manual wind. i saw this and loved the patina so bought it. it is a ref 73473 but ive read they only made 2 types 20190210_121833.jpg 20190210_122258.jpg 20190210_122448.jpg 20190210_122552.jpg with date, both were reverse pandas with metal indexes. does anyone know where this dial came from or did heuer make more types of this reference?

The contemporary catalogues now in OTD do not show all the dial variants, and the hand-winding '70s watches are not well documented. However an image search does find some plain blue dialled 73473s. Printing looks good, that heavily serifed Heuer shield is nice. My vote is that it most probably left Heuer that colour.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. When I’ve googled the watch I’ve found 3 or 4 with the same reference and dial and similar serial numbers so I think it’s genuine but very rare.
