Hi. I recieved an Omega Seamaster Quartz from my grandfather. Does anyone happen to know anything about it? Like when it was manufactured. It has stopped ticking since I haven't used it in a while. It isn't a manual wind up so I guess it's because it's a self winding watch. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Here are some pictures of it. Size of the watch is roughly 25mm x 30mm (maybe a bit smaller)

P.S. I'm very ignorant when it comes to watches so don't judge me for not knowing something obvious :)

Ah alright I was wondering if it was battery or self winding but I thought someone told me once it was self winding. Don't quite remember, it was a while ago.

I'd recommend a battery replacement if you're going to wear it.

If you aren't going to wear it, you should remove the battery (or get it removed by a watchmaker/battery changer).

If the battery leaks (and a lot do after time) it could destroy the movement.

If it works it will show the time relatively accurately all day long. If it doesn't work it will only be accurate twice a day.::psy:: Sorry, I just had too.::facepalm2::
