I saw on several threads a discussion about an increase on Omega watches in May 2019. Is there any solid info on this rumor?

    Hi first time poster here.
I went into an omega shop today and was told by the girl serving that the seamaster range was going up by 10 percent and all the rest 3 percent.

The increases will vary among markets, partly to adjust for exchange rate and partly for demand.

If this is the case, I will have to make my purchase a little earlier than I wanted to. I though wanted to pay off some bills first but if I can save several hundred dollars it will be worth it.

My dealer said she was only aware of the Deville line going up..... But......

Speedmaster was already increased at my OB a couple months ago. Don't know about the rest.

Was in an OB buying my SMP 300 Diver at the weekend. The gentleman who served me said he was under the impression that the model would be increasing by a hefty 10% in May, which aligns with what others are hearing.

Either thats a big increase, or a great tactic to get sales over the line in April.

Gulp! Do I buy the Seamaster Diver 300 in blue now or wait? Daniel Craig is beckoning me.

I'd say buy it now . It's not going to go down in price . And it seems almost certain to go up. Possibly in about a week (sometime in May).

I emailed my Omega sales person about the price increase. I am thinking if they have the watch in stock and the price goes up, I may be able to still get the watch for the pre May price. But if they have to order another watch from their distributor most likely I will have to pay the higher price. I have had time to look at all the photos of myself wearing the blue, black, and the older Seamaster watch. As I already have a black sea Diver watch it looks like I will be going Blue.

I agree, if you can I would buy it now then I would. £300-£400 is a significant price increase. A 10% increase on anything is high.

I was always going to buy around April-May but that information twisted my arm to commit in April.

Its a great watch, and its growing on me everyday, no regrets.

Even more glad I bought my Seamaster 300 in the Heathrow duty free a couple of weeks ago. Now I can convince myself I saved even more money (ignoring the fact that I'm still out the price I paid). :)

I just pulled the trigger on an SMP300m today and was told the RRP is going up £200 on 1st May. Dealer showed me the price increase doc for reference.

Wow so thats like $258 more if my computer did the calculation correctly. Time to go to my Omega store it looks like.... Unless I want to save lots of money and buy the Tag Heuer aquaracer calibre 5 with its standard ETA movement.

My experience does relate to the UK market only but I do believe price increases will be across all markets.
