Does anyone have a Bulova "Moonwatch" (96B258)?

And if you do, what are your opinions?

I'm toying with the idea of getting one, possibly on the stainless bracelet to compliment my growing space watch collection. Yes, it's a quartz replica... but I don't have $1.6m for the one and only original, or one of the other prototypes. :)

No - apparently not. It's the same movement as their precisionist line, a very high frequency three prong quartz crystal from Citizen (hence the 262 kHz on the 6 o'clock sub dial) Apparently good for approx 10s a year.

I bought a Precisionist to wear as a beater and I love it. I subsequently found a couple of crazy deals on the Accutron II movements that are similar but a bit more slim. I've had no problems with any of them, and as far as electronic watches go they are fantastic.

    You'll need a fairly large wrist to accommodate this one - it's a beast... 45 or 46mm, I think?

From the wrist shots I've seen posted online it can make an average-wristed vintage watch-loving man look like a kid wearing his dad's watch.

I've had one since Christmas. At first it didn't feel big but I find the NATO to be cumbersome. I've just ordered the bracelet.
I didn't think Bulova did a very good job at replicating the case until I took some time to really study the original. It's not 100% but really close. I just wish it was closer to the original's size and the subdails matched the original. IMG_4291.JPG

    good looking watch!

these [NATO] things are and look very cumbersome IMO, this watch will look much better on a black leather (croc) strap or black with white stitching...again IMO ;)
