Does anyone collect art? What is hanging on your wall?

So I have been asked to help hang a painting = 110cm x 85cm.
It is framed and heavier than I expected. It has a taught nylon string straight across the back with some brown tape.
Not being an art expert what hanging system do you all use / what do you recommend. This has a wooden frame so would be easy to change. At home I use wire and I recall one picture I put up has a locking system / two metal plates (which were a pig to drill and line up) … but it is not falling off when the string breaks ;0)

I use metal twisted picture wire, which I attach to 1cm screw in picture frame hooks (see photo) into the frame

and then nail or screw ‘picture hooks’ (see EBay) for the correct strength of hook.

I was thinking to try the French cleat or something similar. It looks sturdy and this picture will hang above a stairway so a long drop if anything breaks (hence why they asked for help).
Anyone used this type of thing?

Solved…. I think … not exactly the same but I have gone for a keyhole bracket system… will see how that works out.

Is that for that beautiful painting you had restored? Hey fellows: I thought I was replying to PM from Omegafanman…

Anyway… cleaning out the garage today and found an old pencil drawing that I must have done in the 80s. The porcupine looks like he’s got an attitude. I found this in an old USGP magazine also… The Ferrari card looks nice… maybe a candidate for a cheap 5 x 8 frame…

On my wall, I've got a mix of pieces from local artists and some prints I found online. I'm a big fan of abstract art – there's something about those vibrant colors and intriguing shapes that just draws me in. I came across an amazing abstract piece at https://www.artworks.ae/Abstract-Wall-Art that really spoke to me. It's now the centerpiece of my collection, and I can't stop staring at it!

My wife is an artist, so we have lots of conversation pieces in the home. Recently, it's a lot of work using human hair:

My son remains obsessed with dinosaurs and Godzilla, so there's lots of this kind of art up:

I have a whole boatload of metal and punk concert screenprints that I want to put up again but decided to put them in storage to free up room for my kid's artwork.
