Speedmaster101.com's price chart has two separate categories with different valuations for watches with dot over 90 bezels & watches withdot next to 90.bezels.

I have often seen watch advertised on this site with DON in the title of the post.

Do dot over 90 bezels substantially increase the valuation of a watch?

Yes of course, it seems you already know the answer. And the loose bezels also command vastly different prices.

With respect to the 145.022-69 reference, a given watch should have the correct bezel for its serial number. For example, a 31M serial watch should not have a DON bezel.

Yes it does but only if its original/correct to the watch. They were only produced before a certain year on mostly 321 models therefor they hold a lot of value and collectability.

As other posters have noted individually DON beats DNN. Fitted to the correct watch the bezels often reflect the overall condition of the watch because they, like crowns and pushers are so exposed to the vagaries of everyday wear. What I see more and more is watches in average or poor condition with much better bezels. Notwithstanding that some of these bezels are or could be fake, I often wonder what the watch the genuine bezels were taken off would be like. It might make economic sense for the seller to swap bezels but I think that they simply look incongruous and do not enhance the watch in my view.

The opposite is also true. -69’s are showing up in good condition but with poor bezels, presumably as the ‘good’ original bezel has been swapped with one from an earlier more valuable reference.
