I've just a greed a deal on a 145.012 with what appears to be an original DO90 correct bezel.
But it's got a fair bit of wear to it...

Should I be looking at sourcing a new bezel or is it better to keep it original..

    thoughts - thanks

Bezel's good enough and has not reached the point where "has character" becomes "looks beat-up" - keep it :)

thanks, very interesting read... the point about perhaps not being an exact fit would worry me about chasing one on ebay.
Is ebay the right place to look for a DO90 bezel - save for putting a WTB on here?

There's at least one on ebay right now for €750 in about the same condition as yours. Whether it's worth it is a personal choice.

I like the ageing and look of that bezel - dibs if you end up wanting to sell it...serious....

thanks for the offer - but i think even if i was to end up buying a new bezel for it i'm likely to keep the original one

Ha ha I can't say I would ever blame you for that. Imho keep it as it is - it's a stunner! The wonderful thing about Speedies is that they can age gracefully and all mine (12 now - yes, I know, OCD) have all aged gracefully though, to be fair, some more than others. Wear it and enjoy in good health!
