Hi boyz'n"girlz I know a guy who sells his 18k connie. I have a few pics and wait for some more. Before going to far do you see anything wrong with these first pics? Thanks
You know what? 18k gold's pretty soft... that might not even be a polish, could just be wear. Looks like a nice piece. @Peemacgee 's your man to tell all.
It looks nice, the case has been polished and the lugs have slightly lost their edges. What about the red date wheel !! .. anyone??
The bezel is nice and sharp but I think the lugs have been refinished as they have grained sides and look a little thin. But a nice Connie all the same. Crown fits into that ‘odd’ period where it may be correct. Red date whel is a little peculiar.
I think it is a gorgeous piece even with the lugs being polished at some point, I think the red date wheel a little odd but it doesn't detract from the watch. I'd jump on it if it were offered to me and it were offered at a decent price.
apologies for the brief earlier reply - I was in a meeting (it was all in Arabic anyway - so it didn't really matter that I wasn't paying full attention) Not the best pics but this is what I believe it should look like - my no date version
Looks like a french cased version from the back. Would definitely want an inner caseback shot on this one. While the case looks sharp even with a previous polish, can't gauge edge sharpness using swiss cases as reference since they weren't exactly identical in construction.
True. here’s a full frontal (Swiss version) for comparison. Please excuse the dust. What about the grained finish @MSNWatch ? Not seen that on any Connie.
yep I meant the lugs and you're right about looking like a French case - the medallion is a give away - the stars are much heavier mine for comparision
Also very true. I saw that. But wasn’t sure if the French also liked to hit imports with their eagle shaped hammer
