Hi, im sorry for joining this website as im not really an omega collector.... but my grandmother has given me one of my grandfathers old watches, and i was interested to find out about it, and i was hoping if anyone was able to recognise it from the picture and wouldn't mind taking the time to let me know its name etc. Thanks T
I dont know what it is, but a quick service and a new crystal and its going to look great on your wrist....
Welcome! That's quite the heirloom. Your watch has one of Omega's 30 mm manual wind movements inside. Please get it serviced by a professional watchmaker so you don't break anything. Winding it now will surely damage the internals as there's most likely dirt and gunk built up along with no lubrication. You'll get further details on the exact model you have from other members who are more versed in the 1940's manual wind calibers.
