·Very interesting topic. I think our attachment to the hobby depends how deep its rooted in ourselves.
My interest began when my dad gave me my first flik flak when I was 7, I felt like I was powerful and had this thing that allowed me to check the time on my own! 😀
To this day, my dad and I still share the passion (even though he is not half as crazy as I am) and I hope to pass it down to my (hypothetical) kids one day. Vintage watches are just a very romantic way to remind ourselves that we won't be here forever. I don't think I'll ever get bored of watches.
On the other hand, I'm very passionate and very committed to hunting down some of the pieces that I do love (which can range from a monopusher OG Seiko to a black racing dial Speedmaster) and I realize that sometimes I'm being too extreme & maybe I should enjoy more the amazing pieces I already own... But then I think "fυck that" and I lurk instagram to find the next grail watch that I'd never even heard of 😁
Let's live our passion and see where it takes us!
