Do Rolex AD’s have inventory for the Holidays?

As an avid golfer, I just finished watching the four-day President’s Cup competition. The tournament was sponsored by Rolex. During almost every commercial break there was a Rolex commercial mostly featuring the day date models. I don’t recall seeing any of the coveted stainless steel professional models in the commercials. Nevertheless, from the number of commercials you would think that Rolex authorized dealers are flush with stock and ready to sell for the holidays. Has anyone visited a Rolex dealer this week? It would be interesting to populate this thread with what people are seeing at Rolex AD’s around the world as we enter the height of the holiday shopping season. Any reports?

DateJust and DayDate have always been synonymous with Golf, and Tennis for that matter. The refined elegance of these models are much more suited for the class of people these events attract.

I wouldn’t dream of it. McEnroe did for Tennis what Happy Gilmore did for Golf.

There was a Sea-dweller at my local store this week, along with the normal limited selection of two tone watches.

I was not under the impression they were “flush with stock”, unless they keep everything in the back, despite the empty case.

I did notice there is now a dedicated desk to sit at with Rolex branding on it, similar to the Patek desk in the same store. Is Rolex continuing to push dealers to make new capital investments? I seem to remember a minimum countertop length requirement mentioned a few years back.

Visited Budapest a few weeks back and the AD's cases were full of what appeared to be most models ?

I’m not sure how this responds to the thread, but thanks.

Knowing Rolex, I’m sure that you can get on a waitlist for Christmas delivery. Unfortunately, it will be for Christmas delivery in 2025. 🙁

Don’t know if this is kosher (don’t forget Hanukkah runs concurrently with Xmas this year), but perhaps someone on this forum has been waiting for this model and you can put them in touch with the AD so they can buy it- would cost you nothing, the AD would move the watch fast and you make both parties very happy- triple win.

Sorry maybe my post was misunderstood.

it’s one of the watches that I wanted anyways. But not the GMT they promised for Xmas quite a while ago...

Yes one of the main reasons is that, is unfortunate that it has to be like this...
probably will wear this one for a while then get rid of it, depends how much I like it or not, time will tell.

It is curious that some submariners are starting to pop up. I wonder if this has anything to do with the strong rumor that Rolex will be introducing a new submariner in a few months at Basel? Maybe it’s time to move the current stock.

I stopped at one of the local Rolex AD's in my area late last week to drop off my seamaster for a quick service on its bracelet and browse the selection, and they didn't seem to have anything Rolex that wasn't two tone or precious metal. The Rolex case seemed to be primarily Datejust models. They had a few two tone submariners on hand, and I saw one Daytona with a yellow gold bezel, which was being discussed with a customer.

In a conversation with one of their sales people, I inquired about an Explorer 1 "or any stainless sports model, really," and she nervously chuckled. She was very friendly and happily added my name to the waiting list for the aforementioned 214270. They had called me as recently as June for that model, but I chose the Tudor BBGMT, which came in the same day.

This specific shop is a large, luxury watch and jewelry retailer that carries a number of brands. Interestingly, even in browsing other watches, specifically the vintage-y Seamaster 300 and a Railmaster, she leaned into the Rolex pitch over either of the Omega models I've been considering.

Of note, they had one of the Trilogy Seamasters still on hand.

Hi, it relates to the comment in your post ‘I don’t recall seeing any of the coveted stainless steel professional models in the commercials’. My comment explains to you why.
