Do 14381/14393 and 168.004 Constellations have the same hand length?

Hey everybody,

while continuing my search for a set of hands for a 14381/14393 with a pie pan dial, I was wondering if hands of pie pan 168.004s would have the same length.

I have a set of 14381/14393 hands here and they are about 10mm center to tip for the minute, about 7.5mm center to tip for the hour.

Would anyone here have a 168.004 lying around and could help me out measuring the hands?

Thanks a lot and Happy Easter!

Oh, and since we all like pics etc, this is the motivation for the search:

Since you did not mention it clearly I assume that you want to find a set of hands for that dial then put that unit into a 168.004 case? (hope I am wrong)
Sorry again for guessing too much but a reminder to you that 168.004 and 010 all have date window. That dial is for a 551 movement with a reference for a 551 only.
Best regards.

Hoi.

I thought that he had found a set of 168.004 hands and was hoping to use them for a 14381.

Or actually if he can broaden his search for hands by including 168004 in the search - otherwise he would have been able to measure them himself 😀

Thanks for the warning Hoi - @Dan S and @Sa Calobra are right though. I just want to broaden the search. 14381 and 14393 take the same hands despite the date window / cal. 551 and 561, so I figured if the hands of 168.004 (in pie pan configuration) are the same length they should fit, too.

That dial will go into a 14381 case with a cal 551. All those parts are here already. I’m “only” missing the hands.
