Here is an unknown branded divers watch that was sold for 1.621€. In reality this Espadon Tarzan watch was created by one the world’s greatest pioneer in diving equipment, Georges Beuchat and it is a very rare one and totally unknown ! https://www.befr.ebay.be/itm/ancien...AN-RICHARD-Scaphandrier-BEUCHAT-/233607648278Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Beuchat
I agree that it is a rare model, but the crown, which looks interesting, is the only feature that appears uncommon. Do you know anything else about it?
Where is the providence from? He sold things under his name. Why is it not marked Beauchat :edit: Ok he used the name Espadon and Tarzan On stuff he sold. It looks like a common mid tier watch from that period sold under multiple names. ( save the crown as noted above)
I searched for a whole day and couldn’t find anything interesting. So some guys, French probably, know more than I do. The only thing I learned is that Espadon Tarzan diving artefacts are traded on a many sites. I must admit that I was a bit frustrated, but now when I consider the final result I have no regrets.
Yes, that crown ! And the second hand looks special. I don’t think it has anything to do with a Parmentier crown.
About the crown: https://tituscalypsomatic.com/5913-first-generation-1/ (french but with better pictures of the crown internals) https://chronographes.net/2016/09/22/titus-calypsomatic-ref-5913-i/ Apparently, the very first Super Ocean also used this type of crown.
