·Hey guys!
I‘d like to share a little story. A Friend of me got also interested in watches after we often talked about them and hobbywatchmaking. He then told me he has an old watch at home. A gift he ones recieved. Its an 1970 Richard watch in NOS condition. We opend it up and regulated it and since then he loves to wear it. Some days ago he wanted to swim. And of course wants to take of the watch. He was standing on a pier and unfortunately it fell into the water. He got it out.
2 days later he told me that it fell into the water and i instantly told him to give it to me, before the rust starts.
But i was to late. The Rust was already starting. I found that interesting because it didn’t fell into Salt Water. But anyway. I gave my best with the service and rust transforming solution. In the end i fitted another secondshand which i find very fitting.
The Movement is an AS1900/01 and it has a interesting design. The geartrain is designed differently so that the Balance diameter can be larger. I love such details. Sorry for my bad english and grammar. Thank you for Reading!
