I've seen several vintage watches with display backs and I'm wondering where people get them made, the cost, and any other general information you have to share. Do they use the original back and cut the middle out, or are they entirely fabricated from stock? After selling my Longines Flagship, I've got a vintage Cyma incoming and I'd like to be able to show off the gorgeous Ref. 586K movement. Thanks for any help!

Thank you very much for your help, in my searches I somehow missed that thread. After looking around their website, I can't seem to find anything about custom orders. I'll keep looking! My watchmaker is very crafty, aside from Eva Leube he's the only watchmaker left in Australia I know of who is capable of building a watch from scratch, so when my Cyma arrives and I take it for a service I'll ask him.
Some folks on the forum have used this manufacturer to recreate bezels; they also make display backs: https://www.watchcaserepair.com/viewable-backs
