looks good!- might need a bit of a careful tighten - seems to be space between the case and case back + movement retainer ring on the inside,

    enjoy!

Does the spacer need a little sanding?

Somebody here did one recently and commented that they needed to "sand" it a bit.

Maybe some 600 grit wet and dry paper on a sheet of glass or your wife's granite kitchen bench.

Use a small block of very soft wood (balsa from the model shop?) to hold it and do a little bit at a time.

Clean it well and do a test fit, repeat if necessary.

    Let's know how it goes.

Is the movement being held in place, or does it move? If it moves, then the case back is not in contact with the spacer, so the spacer does not need sanding - it would only need sanding if it was too thick. A gap does not indicate it's too thick.

Hopefully you lubricated the case back gasket, and if so it looks like the case back might need to be snugged up a bit more.

    Cheers, Al

Hi Al, I did not lube up gasket, I have a pot of silicon grease, is that good to go. Didn't want to get into a power struggle with the case opener, then slip and gouge metal !!! :)

Silicon grease is okay. The reason you lubricate is not to help the watch seal, but to prevent the gasket from catching on the case back and bunching up, causing it to stretch so it no longer fits properly, or possibly break.

    Cheers, Al

I have a few of Thomas's case backs and they fit really well but there is always a small bit of the clearance between the case back and case due to the o-ring. I've not had any issues with moisture getting in through the case back although never had them pressure tested.

Please no offence here, just my personnal thinking (not really important) but i find those generic see through case back ..horrible...it looks like the window of the nautilus... but maybe it is due to the pics...

Anyway this 321 is really beautiful...

I do prefer the genuine Omega case back but for the price and ease of fitting, Thomas's case back are great imo
