So when looking at my new 751 c shape Connie at the watch fair I checked the quick set date worked by advancing a couple of days, and it worked fine. Setting the correct date in the car on the way back, it seemed a little less positive. Now it won't work at all. I didn't touch the dates in the critical time period, so im pretty sure it wasn't me. I'm resigned to these things happening from time to time, so I'll send it off (thinking Swiss time services). Anyone got any idea of cost? Still love it. :-D

Stop fiddling with it! You need to have this serviced. That usually fixes it.

Depends on the watchmaker. I'd say $100 - $175 plus any necessary parts. Cleaning and lubing should corrects the problem you're experiencing.

Swiss Time charge £375 for servicing a vintage watch. But instead you can get them to look at it & diagnose it, then only approve whatever work you want.

Do not use quickset feature when the watch is between 21 pm to 3 am position as you may break a small quickset mechanism inside

Yes, I do know about that and stayed well away.... I don't think it was me... And there's been a semi gradual deterioration. I'll get it sent off...
