    No note left.

    No neighbours saw anything.

The perpetrator who decided to flee the scene left enough parts of their car behind for us to work out that it's a 2001-2005 Renault Clio 1.2 in Silver.

Currently being driven with no passenger side headlight, or bumper.

I'm channelling Liam Neeson, when I say "I will find you, and I will claim this against your insurance".

Not the end of the world, neither of us are injured (who knows/cares about the perp.), and it is insured, but a total pain in the Arse that I could have done without.

Ouch! That's a bitch. If it's on lease try to get it repaired by the supplying dealership. I had an HGV side-swipe my A4 in Germany a few years ago and decided to get it repaired by my local Audi dealership (which wasn't the original supplier). When the lease was up and I wanted to hand the keys back (to the original supplier) I got well and truly ::censored:: as they claimed the repair wasn't done correctly and consequently the residual value was not as contracted. That was the end of my relationship with the VW-Audi empire (after 5 cars..if one includes a 944 as an Audi, which I do).

Hope you get a speedy (Snoopy-free) repair mate.

    Cheers

I believe in karma, their bad deed will come back to haunt them.

It's already given them a shite car to drive :D

We paid for this one in full (used approved)... so it's all on us.

Yeah buddy... a couple months. Pretty Angry. If I got my hands on the person that did this, there would be murders.

Not so nice but watch your insurance before you make a claim, could prove expensive for a while to come.
We suffered problems on the M6 two years ago when an lgv brake drum fractured and the debris came close to decapitating me. Needless to say the culprit did not stop and we claimed on our own insurance, not convinced it was the correct decision as the policy renewal on every vehicle I am insured on rocketed :(

    Bloody Hell.

I think the parts cost on this will make it too much for us to cover to be honest.

This is really what we needed after the burst water pipe/huge house claim. :(

and clearly the Clio's steering needs attention as well as the seat to wheel interface.

    I hope so.

We have a policy on the house/contents, a policy on the car, and a policy on our health.

Hoping that bad luck really doesn't come in threes, because I really don't want to claim on that third policy. :(

Right! A Layer 8 problem. And the genetic world equivalent of MAC-Filtering is applicable to the ::censored:: who did this without owning up like a man. :whipped:

Couldn't you maybe slightly stumble and damage something unimportant then the hokus-pokus is done with?
All will turn out well for you....perhaps not so for the other looser.

Bit too obvious. Anyway its was a Renault, they come like that fresh from the factory so who would notice? Brake fluid to be applied in modest doses to the roof rain-water drain vents - the car rots from the inside out.
