The immediate confession I have to make is that I know hardly anything about UG's, except for the snippets I pick up browsing this forum. Nevertheless this Polerouter looked so good that I ended up taking it home. As I have no UG resources to use for research, does anyone want to help me understand exactly what I've got here ? It's a 36mm case & looks sharp. Any insights will be gratefully received .
Wow! You've got an eye, Sir. That case is crispy. Caseback engravings are typically shallow on these models, but yours are all present (put a caseback sticker on it if it's going to get some serious wrist time). Even comes with a signed buckle!? You hit a home run. Are you sure this wasn't NOS? Take a loupe to the crystal. Like the floating Omega, you may find a UG shield. The real polerouter experts will be along shortly. And... DIBS!
The 215 is the earliest incarnation of the microrotor. Yours, a 215-9, came along shortly thereafter. http://www.polerouter.de/index-english.htm
Really love this one. Very glad you got it, it genuinely does look close to NOS. I'm sorry woodwkr, but I think I can claim precedence on the dibs!
Stu does gave to take credit for letting me know it was worth looking at. Again, the brochure pictures made it look incredibly average & not very interesting. But is there a way to avoid a dibs war ?
On behalf of President G4, Welcome to the Jet division of the Polerouter Club! Here he comes now: And now it's time to learn the divisional anthem: That is a seriously nice pick up. Is that the one that's been on eBay for ages? Congratulations! gatorcpa
Thanks Gator . No idea if it was on eBay, I picked it up at a physical auction. No-one warned me about having to learn an anthem - luckily it's catchy so shouldn't take too long to memorise
Yeah, the writer is kinda noted for writing catchy tunes. Here's the eBay one: http://bit.ly/1fKUNoS gatorcpa
I've been watching that one for ages, just can't decide if I should take the plunge. What's the BIN price like, crazy? high? about there?
