Just ignore the price, should I get a 1861 hesalite or 3861 hesalite?

I received an offer from AD, 1861 Hesalite with no discount. Should I go for it?

Really just comes down to which one you like more. Plenty of differences besides the movement… Darker black dial, stepped dial, smaller logo/larger printing, fewer markings on the seconds track, shape of the chrono counterweight, brushing on the case sides, bracelet, the list goes on…

Maybe get the 1861 (great watch IMHO) then put the leftover $$$$ towards a Seamaster 😉

Can you try them both on? See which one sings to you the most?

If you want something closer to the watch worn on the Moon, get the 1861. If you want superior technology and a more comfortable fit, get the 3861.

I prefer the upgrades on the 3861, but you really can’t go wrong with either.

I vote for the 3861. Hacking seconds is great to have. I also really love the look of the step subdials. It seems small but makes a huge difference when you look at it.

Try on both and see which one you like better.

Yeah! It looks like I revived this but I certainly didn’t. There were others that are now missing. Weird.
