While funny, that cartoon illustrates why you never tell people how much your watch costs..... especially nerdy engineers who wear Casios. :p

Don't you think that's why Rolex is so popular? You don't have to tell that your watch is expensive. You can assume everyone knows.......:p
unless they then think that your watch is replica..........then casio is a better bet.

    Cheers,

I know for a fact that there are some guys here who have single watches worth far more than me dollar wise. And, I'm ok with that.

Dilbert is my favourite - I swear (as I'm sure many others do) that they patterned it after my workplace when I was working as a project engineer. Never wore a Casio, but did wear a Rolex for a while...but long gone...

Dilbert and The Far Side were commonly seen comics in the engineering department.

Since I've become a watchmaker, this one seems appropriate:

I don't know why, but I think Dilbert is a Seiko guy.

I had a tie like that, didn't matter what I did to the damn thing, it wanted to stick out. And, yes, as the junior guy in the engineering group, I wore a Seiko!

    Ahhhh...... fond memories!
