Hi Guys

I would like to talk about this famous bracelet and the many variations

Produced from 1970 to early 80's for ref. 145022

1) 1171 (11) Ω Relief Logo - clip inside

I think mine is covered in your post but I'm interested to know the difference between my 1171 with 633 end links and the 1171/1 service bracelet??? I'm aware that the1171/633 must be a replacement bracelet on my mid 60's 105.012.

One of mine. Like your #1, with the relief logo and clip inside, but text is aligned more to the center/left, like your #2. The circled '11' touching the clip hole.
Must be a really rare transitional prototype between those two 😗 ... or just your common production hiccup 😀

I have more 1170s than 1171s, but they're similar in many respects. One of the features that distinguish older from newer models in the 1170 is link screws vs. split pens for the removable links (and the correspondending diameter of the holes: slightly bigger for the older screw-style). I wouldn't be surprised if you saw the same difference in 1171s.

Example 3 is interesting. Haven't come across that before.

I just bought this one on Ebay but can't quite determine if it's legit or not, a re-issue or older version etc.

Any thoughts?

Nobody else with an idea?

Could be a mix up, on another forum someone expected it to be yet another version. Apparently Moonwatch Only also doesn’t clarify this matter.

Maybe an experienced and well respected watchmaker like @Archer knows if these clasps were made and sold in a certain era?

A question on this old thread, does anyone know was there a chronological order on these with the relief logo starting before the trapezoid and if so what year did that happen ?
Thanks Michael

Hi there, I own Moonwatch only but it doesn't go into detail on these 1171 bracelets. Does anyone know when the transition happened from relief logo to trapezoid logo? Am looking for a period correct bracelet for my 69st (made in March 71)

I have the same question - from earlier on this thread it seems most likely to be the below variant:
