Look at these two versions (three watches tough). The first and last picture is how I usually see how the markers looks like on a 2639. But sometimes I found some that has the markers like the other one. Here's another example https://omegaforums.net/threads/cal-265-advice.42456/ it has the "rare" markers. I've seen like 4 of those but hundreds with the other one.

The one with lume that are "below" the markers is very common. The other one with lume more towards the middle is something I rarely see. The last two pictures looks almost like identical version except for the markers.

Are both original and correct? Just different versions?

    Many dials with many markers.
Omega sourced dials from several companies in these days

    No reason to think otherwise.

And the other 3 or so dials that are around for the same reference ;)

In the hay day several dial makers made several dials for the same model.

We even see the same dial with different hands often.

Ok. Thank you for the information :)

Things like this makes me crazy haha.

So the hands might be correct as well? Even in cases where they don't really match in color?

    No

That’s a whole can of worms 50 years after a watch was made. Hands were often replaced at service and it’s hard to tell what hands were originally on a vintage watch.
It’s the untouched beauties that we see over time that we use as a guide

This watch the hands don’t look right. Too long, right style though.

That’s the research you have to do. Look at 20-30 watches the same and you will see a better picture. Find a pristine example and use that as a benchmark. FE291313-B9E5-4F38-8363-45F05A0CB0CA.jpeg

Ok so that one has an original dial with original markers (you rarely change those I guess?) But hands have been replaced?

Hands are often a different shade than the markers. The ones here do look a tad long, but that could be due to a minute track with a slightly smaller diameter than normal.

Yeah I was thinking about this. I often see hands with different shades so I got confused.

    About the length. https://omegaforums.net/threads/cal-265-advice.42456/
And another one in the picuters. So it's 3 different, the one with the blue strap, the one in the "cal 265 advice" thread and this one. All of them seems to have the same hands? I think all of them seems to be long.
