    Hi all,
Looking to purchase a Speedmaster Pro (Moon watch). I believe that the 31130423001005 comes with the special presentation box and the accompanying accessories whereas the 3570.50 does not. Is there a difference in the watch itself (31130423001005 vs. 3570.50)? On the grey market, I can find the pricing of the 31130423001005 within a couple hundred $ of the 3570.50.
    Thanks!

It depends on what you mean by the watch. If the 35705000 is a recently made watch, the watch head (case, movements, dial, hands) will be the same as the 31130423001005. The bracelet is different between the two models you list though.

    Cheers, Al

The bracelet has screws rather than pins.

Well yes I should have said screws over pins. My bad.

Also another thing to keep in mind is that the removable bracelet links themselves are longer/larger than the links on the 1998 bracelet which comes on the 3570, so getting an exact fit is tougher.
And the new bracelet itself is heavier/chunkier, so it wears larger and weightier than the bracelet on the earlier Speedy Pro.

Another consideration is that with the old bracelet you could use a 1/2 link from the bracelet on the 22545000 SMP to get a better fit, but now you can't that I am aware of.

We need to have a "Greatest Hits" thread for some of you posts Al, very informative.

Yeah, Al, how is the Internet supposed to spread sweet, sweet misinformation with all of your truthful, fact based, well thought out responses?

Just curious, does that mean older 3570.50 watch heads are different?

Hey - I just try to help clarify things where I can. There's still plenty of misinformation out there for all to enjoy! ;)

Yes certainly. The watch head consists of the case, movement, dial and hands. Right off the bat we know that the dial and hands changed from tritium to luminova around 1998, so those are clearly different. Also some early 35705000 models had the yellow coloured Cal. 861, before the transition to the rhodium plated 1861 - I actually owned one from this era, which was from the 1995 time frame.

    Cheers, Al

Thank you Al (and everyone else). Very informative and helpful. I am going with the 31130423001005. I was actually able to get this kit cheaper than the 35705000 by a couple hundred bucks. I will need to decide on the bracelet (hopefully I can get a pretty good fit) or a strap. Excited to have a "partner" for my SMPc. Thanks again for the feedback!
