We all know the story... my wife doesn’t understand this crazy hobby. I purchased her first mechanical watch for Christmas, so maybe she would become a little more interested.

Ofcourse I also figured if it was matching watches she would be that much more into the idea and I could get a new watch out of the deal as well.

My plan worked to perfection, she hasn’t stopped asking when we can get them sized so we can wear them.

I had a Croton with a really ratty linendial. When I cleaned it, the “Croton” came off with the grunge. It clean up nice though. So nice my seventeen year old admired it earlier this year and appropriated it. I gave my wife a 1928 Longines for Christmas. She loved it. I have a Croton “Aquabelle” being serviced to give her for her birthday in February.

Nice-looking watches! You're a $10 watch toolkit away from being able to size your own watches easily in minutes.

And in answer to the OP...

I gave my wife an Apple watch for Christmas this year. She's been answering calls on her watch and voice texting (i.e. dictating texts) ever since.

    Does that count? ;)
