Hello all, I have bought some months ago this Zenith and some seller told me that this model didn't exist and it was probably, not a fake one, but a mix of different pieces. Some other seller, a Zenith specialist or so to say, thinks that it's possible that this watch has existed. The caliber is 146, the mouvement number is 232D541, it's a pretty big case (37 mm). Thanks for your help ! Best,
I think they refer to gold furniture in a steel case. Also the dial looks a bit small but that could be the pics.
I don’t know, the case could be a A278/9, terribly overpolished with lugs became rounded instead of squared... photos don’t help. Mouvement should be 146D or 146DP istead of 146 I think also the backcase was overpolished and the number was printed after
Sorry for the late reply and sorry for the bad pictures. Yes it's written 232D541 on the back. The movement is only written 146.
The problem would be that the case didn't exist, that it comes from another watch. That would explain also why I didn't find anything this watch.
What I’m sure: - crown uncorrect - gold hands uncorrect for steel case What I think: - case is Zenith like this https://www.chrono24.it/zenith/chronograph-38mm-steel-manual-146dp-serviced--id12839572.htm -case back is Zenith but uncorrect with the case - mouvement should be 146D or DP I think that except crown all parts are Zenith but the watch is a mix
Thanks preacher ! Can you please tell me why are you sure about the gold hands uncorrect for steel case ? For what you think, I think I fully agree !
I don't recognise that case from any Zenith model. I suspect its not a Zenith case. The caseback looks like from a Defy or other early diver.
