If so, would a bezel off one (if it exists) work on a 2254.50?

I think a smaller font bezel/bezel insert would top off the 2254.50 nicely.

Perhaps the bezel from 212.30.41.20.01.002 would fit? This seems maybe more of a black version of the 2220.80 than the 2531.80 but it has the smaller font on the bezel, much like the 2531.80, and I think still an aluminum insert from back then. Sorry, not sure if it would fit on the 2254.50 though.

Due to my catalogues from that time there was no "2531.50" in place. Only the 2254 sword hand has been there blackdialed beside the 2531.80

Personally, I think the large font of the 2254 identifies the watch. That doesn’t mean a one size fits all though. If you’re going away from factory there are plenty of non OEM inserts on eBay. I’ve done it with my Seamaster GMT for instance.
