Hey all, new guy here and bout a watch. Ref # on case back is marked 166.091 searched omega website and came back to be a 1971 Seamaster 200. What exactly do i have, google didnt come up with much. It runs when i hold it in certain positions, but it is missing the winding crown? The internal parts look to be in great shape and do say Omega, so its not a replica. So what do i have and whats it worth? Also it does have the original stainless band. CAM00236.jpg

As you already found out, you have a 166.091 Omega Seamaster 200. It appears to be missing the crown, however I think there is something wrong with the case tube. I believe the original crown was a screw-in crown, which would require a threaded tube. So there is some sort of problem with the tube that likely requires a visit to a watchmaker. From the sound of it the watch needs a service as well.

I believe the case tubes on these were internally threaded.

Yes, it is internally threaded, is it worth it to have it repaired or sell as is?

Difficult to say on this one, since there are not many examples that sold recently. You can try and use the far more popular 166.0177 as a reference. A 166.0177 sells for an average of 2000US$ in NOS condition (of course many of these are watchco). So you are looking at a less popular model in rough condition and unknown service requirements. Basically a project watch. Your best bet, IMO is to list on eBAY and see what it brings.
