    Hey guys,

I keep looking at this watch, listed on chrono24, but interesting to me.

The listing says it uses an Omega cal 861. No movement shots, but thought I'd ask if this is even legit before thinking about it much more...

    Thanks for your thoughts!

(posted in omega vintage as it relates to the movement.. it could be moved if more appropriate.)

What they are likely referring to is actually a Lemania 1873, the caliber the 861 is based on, not actually an 861 movement.

    That's my guess.

I wouldn't even consider it without a movement shot.

Thanks! I wouldn't either, was more curious about the use of an omega movement in this watch. Your explanation makes sense. Thanks!

here's a movement shot. seller confirmed that it's the Lemania 1873, not the Omega 861 ticking inside.

Yea there are a lot of brands that have used those, TAG Heuer made some Carrera re-editions that are quire sought after with the Lemania movement and Universal Geneve produced some quite attractive Compax models powered by them too.
