    hello
    i have a semaster vintage (cal 501 / serial number 146 52 7XX / between 1954 / 1958 for the year)

    i want to change the crown but i d'ont know what is exactly the diameter for the crown
    0.9 mm ??

    Definetly a lot larger than 0.9 mm. I'll see if I can measure mine when I get home tonight.

    I think he actually wants to know tap size for the winding stem

    If the case is opening. Mark down reference number and caliber number and email a parts supplier. With the two sets of numbers. They can find the right crown.

    If the crown you currently have is not original to that case (even if signed). Best to add a new winding stem in to be sure of the proper fit (stem will need to be cut to size)

    Last. Steel case. OK. Gold filled or capped. New crowns are gold plated and color match will be off, but not much you can do.
