    hi,

this dial don´t looks restored/repainted (etc.) to me. i has some light patina, but i couldn´t catch it with my camera.
    any thoughts about that?
it´s a cal. 352; very clean, no water damage...

    thank you all - rgds - h.u.

Well, I'll bite. The dial looks awfully clean for its age, and I don't like the "swiss made" very much.

The crown is wrong, but that's an easy fix.

If that's a redial, please find out who did the work. I'd like to give them a few jobs. I have seen a few watches where the "Officially Certified" caption was added by Omega later. I think that change was made in late 1951 or early 1952.

Crown may be correct depending on the case reference. Some of the earliest Seamasters didn't have the clover crown.

...thank you. the crown is already corrected. and, yes, that´s my problem: if an older dial looks clean, it looks faked. google shows the same dial type WITH patina and "swiss made" - and it looks authentic (for me)...

Crystal seems to be aftermarket. Not sure about the officially certified part. Seems to be a smaller but the same font. Hard to say but I'd go for original.

I'd lean towards an original dial too. Haven't seen many redials that reproduce the tiny serifs at the tips of the letters. Nice watch.

The dial looks great to me. The "Swiss Made" looks strange because of the optical distortion at the edge of the non-Omega crystal. The case looks a bit rough with scratches and dents and polished, but there's no rust and the movement is very clean too. The price is a bit too high for me but may be of interest to someone else. GLWS.

Thank you all for a third time. Ebay prices are too high very often since the last fee increase; probably it´s more agreeable to communikate three or four times to build a little bid of confidence and then bargaining a reasonable selling price...

This looks very similar to my 2577 and I think the dial looks fantastic and quite original! Congratulations on a nice pick-up.

It looks orginal and not repainted at all but a bit blank/dull to my tastes...

It is a 2577, exactly the same as yours except his dial is much newer and the hands been replaced or relumed. And he's selling it.

I have to agree with the relumed hands, they don't match the lume on the markers and the hands do seem a little short, especially that hour hand. Would also love to see a movement shot.

...some more pics. and, yes, the hands are newer than the rest of the watch, but tritium. if not, i would have asked my watchmaker to put a little custom-made + matching lume to the hands. Crystal is Omega; old with some stress cracks. gasket is plumb/lead. rgds - h.u.
