Whoever refinished the dial on this one deserves an award of some sort.

Take a good hard look at the gold markers. At first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me..

I really hope that Mac does not weigh in and tell me that this is a copy of an exceptionally rare one-off from the factory...

At least the seller admits it's a redial. I guess that's what makes it super rare.

Take a look at the chapter ring painted on top of the markers. Rare indeed!

Look at the black circular ring at the dial periphery. The one that is nearer the middle of the dial. It is painted on top of the gold markers.

Never has been done by any factory, to the best of my knowledge. And no refinisher who knows anything would ever attempt such a maneuver!

Can be compared to the "Earl Scheib" $29 car repaint schlock jobs I used to read about when I was a kid.

I feel his pain. I received a dial back like that. Word from the refinisher: "Take a sharp toothpick and scratch it off, that's what we do"
What do you do? Change dial shops.

Oh sure I saw that! Sorry I was for some reason thinking there was something about the markers themselves that was wrong other than that! It's like looking for the forest through the trees.

I could never have summed it up in such eloquent fashion.
    Nice.

Case looks to be in fair to good shape. If this one goes cheaply and one were to find one of the "good" redials out there, maybe not such a bad idea? Is that a date appropriate 30 SC T2 Rg movement? I'm sure one of you guys could tell in a heartbeat..
