Hope everyone had an excellent holiday. I have a question concerning the dial of this Suveran. It appears that whomever handled it was related to Pigpen of Peanuts fame. Is it likely that the fingerprints could be cleaned off by a skilled watchmaker or is this dial beyond redemption? As always, thank you for the input.

Seems like the fingerprint stopped the lume from falling off.

Thanks for the contrasting photo, that puts things into clear perspective. I could probably live with the lume loss (provided I could finagle a very low price) because the numerals are still nicely legible but the fingerprint is a bit much.

That was my initial question. I've never run into a dial quite like that. Not sure if the oils from the fingerprint would infiltrate the dial and make a proper cleaning impossible or if they are surface only. Perhaps an expert will be along shortly.
