Refinished, sub dial has lost its crispness.

Easy to see the variation between the outer ends of the hour markers and the outer ends of the minute hash marks.

ah well, hard to fool you guys. I was thinking more about the UG font though, nothing else, should have done a crop. I think that part alone could have fooled me? Although the "g" is not right....

I also wonder why someone would do "swiss made" on the redial, since this is far less common.....

Awkward placement of 9 and 3 over minute hashes.

I gotta say though. This is a tough one. If a redial ... very attractive. What send alarms for me is it’s utter lack of patina on a pure white dial when the hands and indices are clearly oxidized.

The "accent aigu" (é) on the Genéve is enough for me. Remember it's Genève with an "accent grave" (è). What do you mean Swiss Made is uncommon, its the first sign of a redial isn't it?

    good point on the accent.

Swiss made is often wrong I think, but not always. I have two time only with swiss made that seem completely original. The NOS outdoorsman and the UG FS that I have posted in what UG are you wearing thread both have swiss made.

I agree with the FS because it's a later period watch but the "Swiss Made" on your outdoorsman throws me off. The dial looks good but the "Swiss Made" doesn't fit, the writing doesn't usually curve like that. Very unusual.

I agree it’s odd, but I can’t find anything wrong with the dial. And along with the dial, the hands and case are mint. The whole thing looks like it’s never seen daylight. I dunno ?

here's the Outdoorsman so people know what we are talking about. I agree the curved swiss made is odd, but if this is a redial, I want this person to come work for me fulltime!!!

good luck with UG. The more examples I see the more inconsistencies I see. I was just comparing two Aero Compax side by side, exact same ref, around 200 serial apart, as far as I can tell both completely 10000% original, and there were so many differences. The cases were significantly different, the dial printing was different. Crazy stuff. At a certain point, it gets impossible to pin down. Too bad that kind of inherent variation is combined with a lot of junk on the market, frankens and various shenanigans, makes for a real minefield........
