    Hi all,

Do you think the "lemon liquid " dial cleaning approach will wash away the dirt on this dial?? Would appreciate if any restoration expert can comment on this.

I’m no ‘restoration expert’, but I would not risk cleaning this.

Do you have photos in natural light? It doesn’t seem that bad to me as is. In fact, I love the dial.

Looks like it has been cleaned before and lots of stuff has gone. You want everything goes blank?

don`t try. as soon as the protective Layer is gone, the honeycomb will get very quickly darker in colour. use as is. hard to find a good spare honeycomb dial anyway..... kind regards. achim

Yeah I spoke to my watchmaker about this and he said the only thing preventing the dial from going dark (ie. though the oxidation process) is the laquer coating. So you have to re-apply it immediately or something along those lines. I wouldn't risk it unless you're good with DIY projects and you're okay with possibly ruining the watch dial.
