So, browsing the auction catalogues, I stumbled onto this. Described as “Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches.”

That description wasn’t too far off…

Ranks highly as the worst relume I’ve ever seen. Have you seen worse?

Maybe its been to space and came back with some kind of substance on it, it reminds of of that movie The Andromeda Strain, which was a fantastic one I should really watch again

The Andromeda Strain
A great novel too. I read it just after it came out, saw the movie a bit later and it was just as good as the book.
Might have to have a movie night soon.

“Shoot, I have lost my tools again”

“Baaah… let’s have a go. What can go wrong?”

Relumed with either Rodico or toothpaste gel, I can't quite decide!
Coming soon to a boutique near you, the new Seamaster AquaFresh 1M.

Not the crappy remake though, the original. It's one of those movies that whenever I stumble on it channel surfing, I watch from wherever it is to the end.

Yea I saw the trailer and noped out of that. The original has this impressive ability to build tremendous tension in scenes that are otherwise quiet and devoid of action. It’s something modern films really lack especially in the sci-fi genre now with short attention spans and a need for constant action and explosions.

Written by Michael Crichton while he was in medical school.

The original Jurassic Park novel is great too. A real page turner.

My 14yo boy picked up a used copy for next to nothing recently and loved it (he’s a big fan of the movies) I picked it up one day and, as they say, couldn’t put it down.

I loved The Andromeda Strain when I first read it nearly three decades ago, the original film is also excellent. I was a real Crichton fan back in the 90s and read everything he wrote that I could lay hands on. He was such an enjoyable author to read who did an amazing job of creating believable worlds.

Anyway, back to OP's watch, that thing certainly does exhibit 'noticeable marks and scratches.' It does also look like it could have brought back a passenger from space with that funky blue goo used for lume.
