I recently started looking to buy a Deville Brick road bracelet watch. I was looking between a Date only vs GMT.

After finding a date only, I noticed two different dials. The one I was interested in had a painted Omega logo with "Automatic". The dials more often seen had AML and "Co-axial" written on them.

Initially, I wondered if the painted was a fake or service dial. But looking more, it appeared original, perhaps an earlier release.

This led to looking at different references, trying to figure out what models were made by Omega.

Here's my slap-hazard results. I'm not 100% certain I got it right, but it seems accurate based on my limited search results.

(I'd love to learn more about production years and variations if anyone has any info they want to share.)

These are a really slept on reference, I've had a partially written article about these for ages that I really should finish.

The greatest, most special, most desirable IMO of this entire lineup is the Japan Market non-date Pie-pan, Cal 2403 Reference 4531.32.00

This model has arrowhead and roman dial furniture on a textured silver pie-pan dial, with 15 degree offset facets from the normal vintage pie-pan dials. It's in steel on the brickwork bracelet and I helped a mate get one of these out of Japan a couple of years ago for 2100 aud, or about 1400 USD.

Thanks for sharing, this is useful info. They do not come up often, but I have been keeping an eye out for a SS, date only, black or gray dial model for awhile now. Just good looking watches

And there i thought he was done…😀
Good game! I have one from 2006 in "red gold" (their words), with exhibition back - reference starts 4654.xx.xx. I think that "x6xx.xx.xx" might therefore mean gold generally, not just YG. I haven't decoded the "...54..." part, but my guess is it relates to the caseback.

I expect the 54 to be related to the dial. Is your dial gold, or does it have gold furniture?

The gold ones are pretty spectacular. Wish I had jumped on one of those of couple years ago.

I think the puzzle continues - mine is white dial, gold furniture, brown strap, and so completely confirms your readings of xxxx.20.xx and xxxx.xx.32. I'll try to find and post the Omega spec sheet later.
Btw I surely agree with you about the bracelet...

No complaints. It was described as mint, which is hardly ever true. This looks unworn, although not like NOS. Still, very nice with box and papers. Plus, it has the red paint that appears the case has never been opened.

I'm most surprised by the dial. I thought it would be dark lacquer but it has a sunburst shimmer. Really stunning. And of course pictures don't do it justice.

That surely looks mint to me. Awesome piece! Enjoy 😊

In general, I agree, this reference is a forgotten gem. Seen only a few of these at GTGs and I keep gravitating to them. Perhaps I should start searching for that no date. 🤔

That is beautiful, a mix of modern and classic design.

How is that bracelet? It looks great, but is it stiff and hair pulling?

Haven't adjusted it yet. Need to remove some links to get it into hair pulling territory. I'll let you know.

The bracelet doesn't flop. Where it attaches to the end links, it has a stiff curve that makes the watch lug to lug seem larger. I have skinny wrists that are still 7.25 inches. The watch fits me but it wears larger than its 38mm width suggests. I think it might be uncomfortable on smaller wrists only because the bracelet curves stiffly from the end links. My wife wants to wear it but I'm not sure we could remove enough links to make it sit snug around her wrist. Just guessing at this moment looking at the bracelet.

Got it adjusted and here are some photos to try to show how it works. Of course I haven't worn it long enough to be certain, but I don't think it'll be a hair puller.

There isn't a micro adjustment, but the links are small enough to get it where it's comfortable. I like looser watches, but I prefer they ride higher for appearance. It's tough to achieve that balance. My wrist swells throughout the day and I am constantly opening and closing speedmaster bracelets to move them. This brick bracelet seems like it might be okay. I like where it sits, but hope it doesn't get restrictive through the day.

Ps. The bracelet still had the plastic around it. Really might have been unworn 😲
